Redibox was first launched in 1993, the concept being aimed at the man on the street and businesses not requiring large volumes of packaging that manufacturing plants insist upon. Initially, we sold only kraft corrugated boxes, agricultural fruit/vegetable boxes, gift boxes and standard packaging – like bubblewrap, packaging tape, unprinted newspaper and pallet boxes (for export). The astounding growth triggered other packaging industries to jump onboard – using Redibox as their feeder company to the smaller guys. So, we introduced crates, liquid bottles, liquid/food drums, paper, tissues and then metal tins to encompass the full packaging store for any small business wanting generic standard packaging.

In 2010 Bryan Venner, previously the Finance Manager of the group, took the helm as an individual business owner with a select few staff members to run Redibox Western Cape. We buy in bulk and store in our warehouse so that you don’t have to – especially when you don’t have the space to store your packaging and you are able to buy off-the-shelf and not have to wait for the 10-14 working day manufacturing process. We sell any quantity, and discounts are built into prices when purchasing in larger volumes. Redibox has always been in Epping – the industrial capital of Cape Town – central to all the packaging manufacturers and suitable for quick pick-up in all directions of Cape Town.
